We went there for our honeymoon and we've been upgraded to junior suite. AWESOME! A very big room, hot tub and an amazing view. The only problem was that the food was incredibly delicious everyday, so we gained some weight... but jokes aside, we would always come back.
Amazing adult only hotel. Great service. So clean! Relaxing spa The room was big, with a balcony and sea view. Summer (June–August) and peak weeks around Orthodox Easter
Winter (December–February) and late Fall (November) offer the best hotel bargains
March–May: Mild temperatures, blooming countryside and comfortable conditions for archaeology and hiking. Sea starts warming later in the season.
A lively pre-Lenten celebration with parades, costumes and street parties. Timing follows the Orthodox calendar (usually February or March).
The island-wide religious celebration with processions, church services and community feasts. Date varies (March or April).
An annual series of open-air classical music and opera performances staged in historic venues around Paphos, commonly in late summer/early fall (often September).
A mix of concerts, artisan markets and food events held across the coastal season (June–August).
Bring lightweight layers for daytime in spring and fall, a sunhat, sunscreen and reusable water bottle for summer heat, and a light waterproof jacket for winter. Sea conditions can be choppy in winter; always heed local swim warnings and flags.
Paphos follows a typical Mediterranean tourist-price pattern. Hotel and rental rates peak in the high summer months when beach demand is highest, and during key holiday periods (especially Orthodox Easter and late-summer festival weeks). Shoulder seasons (spring and fall) offer better value with many hotels lowering rates and airlines offering deals. Winter is the lowest-priced period, though some beach-focused hotels and restaurants close or reduce services. Major events and conventions in the region can also temporarily push prices up in nearby accommodation hubs.
Insider advice to help you make the most of your visit
Car rental is the most flexible way to explore Paphos and surrounding attractions; public buses serve town and some coastal routes but are less frequent to rural sites. Taxis are available but can be relatively costly for long trips.
To explore the best of Paphos beyond the coast, rent a car and plan a day for the Akamas Peninsula (Avakas Gorge, Baths of Aphrodite) at sunrise or late afternoon for cooler temperatures and great light for photos; combine with a winery visit in the Paphos foothills for local wine tastings.
