It was an exceptional experience for our family. We stayed at the resort with our 15 months old daughter and a small dog yorkie. The staff was very welcoming and attentive. The room was very comfortable and clean. There was a great variety of food in the restaurant and everything was delicious. Our egg allergy requirement was accommodated perfectly as we received regular advice from the kitchen staff. My daughter enjoyed playing in the swimming pool and on the playground, and the staff of the kids club was so kind to play with her. In the evening we had interesting entertaining programmes. We're very grateful for cordial reception and all support our family received. Special thanks to the general manager of the Selinunte Resort Giampiero Marotta for being always friendly and considerate of us!
What a fabulous weekend away. From the time we booked in on friday the managers and well-trained staff were attentive, professional and incredibly friendly and welcoming and booking in was swift and smooth.. Care was consistent and the resort put the client first in all areas. Nothing is too much for the staff and they went over and above to make our stay truly enjoyable. Entertainment was top notch and the variety of food incredible. I highly recommend!!!

Summer
Summer and key festival periods (most crowded and most expensive).
Winter (lowest prices, quietest, many attractions open with reduced hours).
March–May: temperatures rise from cool to pleasantly warm. Wildflowers and agricultural landscapes around Selinunte are at their best; seas start warming for early swimming late in the season.
One of Sicily’s most famous Holy Week traditions centered in Trapani: long, solemn processions with heavy wooden floats and deep local participation.
A renowned international gastronomic festival in nearby San Vito Lo Capo dedicated to couscous and Mediterranean culinary exchange, usually in early fall.
During the summer, the Archaeological Park at Selinunte sometimes hosts evening concerts, guided ‘night visits’, and cultural programs — check seasonal programming.
Pack layers for spring and fall (cool mornings, warm afternoons). Bring sun protection and light breathable clothing for summer, and a waterproof jacket and warmer layers for winter. Comfortable walking shoes are essential for the uneven terrain in the archaeological park.
Selinunte (near Castelvetrano in the Trapani province) follows typical Sicilian coastal pricing: peak prices in the high summer months and during major local events; shoulder seasons offer better value and milder weather; winter is the cheapest but some businesses close or run reduced hours. Hotels and holiday rentals spike in July–August and on festival weekends (especially Cous Cous Fest week and Easter/holy-week in Trapani). Advance booking saves money in high season; last-minute deals are more likely in winter. Eating out in smaller towns around Selinunte tends to be affordable compared with tourist hubs.
