Its new and built with quality and style. And the view was amazing. The staff was really, really nice and helped us with diving and Wadi Rum tours for a great price and service. Also, big thanks to all of the staff, unfortunately we didn't catch all names (we remembered lovely Hazel and the receptionist manager Saud, and the young man that cleaned the rooms perfectly!). Would recommened and hope to come again!

Seasonal guide to help you plan the perfect trip to in Al Burj
Summer
Summer (June–August) — beach resorts, families, school holidays, and peak diving/snorkeling tourism.
Winter (November–February) — lowest hotel rates and fewer tourists; good for budget travelers and those focused on land excursions rather than beaches.
March–May: warming temperatures, low rainfall, and comfortable days (early spring can still be mild; late spring warms up). Sea temperatures rise and visibility is generally good for diving and snorkeling.
Seasonal beach and cultural events typically spanning late spring through summer that showcase local music, food stalls, and beachfront entertainment.
Countrywide Islamic holidays that affect opening hours, travel patterns, and local hospitality. Dates follow the lunar calendar and shift each year.
Occasional organized dive weeks, competitions, and long-distance swim events take place in the Red Sea off Aqaba, often timed for peak visibility months (spring and fall).
Aqaba has a hot desert climate: summers are very hot and dry, while winters are mild with rare rain. Pack sunscreen, a wide-brim hat, breathable clothing, and good sun protection year-round. Bring a light jacket for cooler winter evenings or spring/fall nights. For diving/snorkeling bring or rent reef-safe sunscreen and a light wetsuit if visiting in winter.
Aqaba's hotel prices fluctuate with beach-season demand, regional holidays, diving/snorkeling events, and major Jordanian holidays. High season (summer months and major holiday windows) sees rates increase by 30–80% for beachfront and resort hotels. Mid-range hotels and guesthouses hold steadier rates year-round but still rise during peak weeks. Budget travelers can find the best deals in the shoulder and low seasons; booking 1–3 months in advance secures better rates for popular properties. Large events, school holidays (Jordanian and nearby countries), and Christian and Muslim holiday dates push short-term rental and price spikes. Diving operators may have separate peak pricing for guided dives and courses during summer and holiday weeks.
Insider advice to help you make the most of your visit
Aqaba is served by King Hussein International Airport (AQJ), has reliable taxis, local buses, and is a gateway for road trips to Wadi Rum and Petra. Cross-border options to Israel (Eilat) and ferry/boat services exist but require visa and border-check planning.
Combine a multi-day dive/snorkel program with land excursions: schedule diving early in your trip and then use cooler days for Wadi Rum and Petra. Purchase the Jordan Pass if you plan to visit multiple paid sites (it can save time and entry fees) and always carry a copy of dive certifications. Book reputable dive operators who follow reef-safe practices and conservation rules.
