Everything. Super clean and great hotel
The SPA area was what we needed for our family and 1 year old child. We enjoyed both days and the pools were perfect for infants as well. Very satisfied. The restaurant on the first floor provided tasty steaks. Breakfast was good, as we could also select a variety of foods for our child, including different porridges. Definitely will come back to this place.

Summer
Summer (peak beach season and major events)
Spring and Fall (shoulder seasons)
March–May: temperatures rise from chilly to pleasantly mild. Blooming parks and fewer tourists make it a good time for long walks on the beach and exploring spas before the summer crowds arrive.
An annual city festival typically held in July or August featuring concerts, family activities, street performers and fireworks along the coastline. Dates vary year to year.
Dzintari Concert Hall hosts a summer season of classical and chamber music, often with visiting Latvian and international artists. Concerts usually concentrate in the summer months.
Throughout the high season, Jomas Street (the main pedestrian avenue) hosts markets, street food, open-air performances and extended shopping hours—especially on summer weekends.
Jūrmala has a maritime climate: summers are mild to warm but can be windy; spring and fall are changeable with brisk sea breezes; winters are cold with occasional snow and strong winds. Pack layers, a windproof jacket, and waterproof footwear outside summer. Sunscreen and a hat are essential in summer, and consider a warm hat and insulated coat for winter. Always check local weather forecasts before beach activities—sea currents can be strong.
Jūrmala's accommodation and service prices fluctuate with the beach season and local events. Peak hotel rates occur in summer (especially July) when beach demand, weekends and festivals drive rates up. Holiday weekends, music festivals and large concerts push prices higher and can fill small guesthouses quickly. Shoulder seasons (late spring and early fall) offer the best value: many hotels cut rates, restaurants run specials and there are fewer crowds. Winter is the quietest and cheapest time for lodging, but some seasonal businesses close and transport options may be reduced. Small guesthouses and privately rented apartments (short-term rentals) are popular — those close to the beach and Jomas Street command premiums year-round. Booking 1–3 months ahead for shoulder seasons and 3–6 months ahead for high-summer and festival dates is recommended.
Insider advice to help you make the most of your visit
Well-connected to Riga by frequent regional trains and buses; local transport is walkable within resort zones—bikes and taxis supplement getting around.
If you want the beach experience without the crowds, stay in neighborhoods like Melluži, Vaivari or Bulduri and use the train to reach central Majori and Dzintari for daytime activity. For summer festival travel, book accommodation and train tickets several months ahead; consider weekday visits to avoid weekend surges.
