All food is very good there but most of the time I needed to ask for a butter to put on my bread instead of having it always at the bred area.
The staff was very helpful and spoke English very well. The room was very clean, the bed really comfortable and there were proper curtains to block sunlight in the morning. The breakfast buffet had plenty of choices and the quality and cleanliness was as it supposed to be for a 5 star hotel.

Seasonal guide to help you plan the perfect trip to in Erzurum
Winter
Winter (Palandöken ski season and major winter sports events).
Spring and Fall (shoulder seasons with lower hotel rates and fewer tourists).
March–May. Snow begins melting at lower elevations but can linger on high ground; temperatures rise from very cold to cool. Good time for lower rates, seeing thawing landscapes, and visiting city sights before summer day-trippers arrive.
The main winter tourism driver—commercial ski season plus competitive and recreational events. Local resorts, ski schools, and mountain guides operate at full capacity.
Seasonal craft fairs and markets that highlight Oltu stone (a black jet) jewelry and handicrafts from the Erzurum region. Often timed for summer and autumn weekends when artisans travel to city markets.
Various municipal cultural programs, bazaars, and religious holiday observances occur through the year; timing may shift each year. Summer often sees more open-air cultural activity.
Because Erzurum sits at high elevation and has a continental climate, expect wide temperature swings and intense sun in warm months. In winter, pack insulated, windproof clothing, sturdy boots, and traction aids for icy streets. In summer, bring sunblock, sunglasses, and layers for cool nights. Always check mountain road conditions and local snow reports if traveling to Palandöken.
Erzurum's hotel prices fluctuate strongly with the ski season and major local events. Palandöken ski season (peak winter) drives up rates and fills small boutique and resort hotels; expect premium pricing from late December through March, especially around school holidays and long weekends. Summer (June–August) is a modest low-to-mid demand period — good deals are available, though prices can rise during local festivals or university graduation dates. Shoulder seasons (Spring and Fall) often offer the best value: fewer tourists, lower rates, and more flexible cancellation policies. Weekends and times surrounding religious holidays (Ramadan/Eid) or national holidays may also see short local demand spikes. Booking 4–8 weeks ahead for summer and 8–16 weeks ahead for winter/festivals is recommended for best rates and availability.
Insider advice to help you make the most of your visit
Erzurum is accessible by air (Erzurum Airport ERZ), by train (Eastern Express stops at Erzurum on route to Kars), and by long-distance buses. Local transport includes taxis, dolmuş minibuses, and limited municipal buses; car rental gives flexibility but watch winter driving conditions.
If you plan to ski, book accommodation near Palandöken early and confirm whether transfers are included. For non-skiers, use the Eastern Express train or a rented car to combine Erzurum with nearby Kars and the Ani ruins for a richer eastern Turkey itinerary. Always account for altitude—give yourself a day to acclimatize, especially if you arrive from sea level.
