Super clean and nice I just wish hotel price was a bit cheaper or else we would have stayed for another two nights
The room was huge and loved that it had a kitchen, sitting area and a separate office area. The bed was comfortable and the room was really clean and nice.

Saisonaler Leitfaden zur Planung der perfekten Reise nach in Berkeley
Fall
Late spring (graduation, campus events) and early fall (start of academic year, festival season).
Late fall through winter (November–February), excluding holiday weeks.
March–May: Temperatures moderate as rainy winter tapers off. Campus is lively (classes in session and events like Cal Day), flowers and trees on campus bloom, and outdoor patios begin to open regularly.
An annual open-house style day with campus tours, lab demos, lectures, and family-friendly programming—usually in April.
Graduation ceremonies at UC Berkeley in May draw families and increase demand for hotels and local services.
A popular outdoor festival at Cesar Chavez Park (Berkeley Marina) typically held in July with colorful kites and family activities.
A long-standing neighborhood street fair often held in late summer/early fall along Solano Avenue with food vendors, music, and shopping.
A multi-day literary festival frequently hosted in Berkeley in May featuring authors, panels, and kid’s programming.
Berkeley sits in a patchwork of microclimates. Expect cooler, foggier conditions near the waterfront and warmer, sunnier weather inland or up in the Berkeley Hills. Always pack layers: a lightweight insulating layer plus a wind/rain shell. Comfortable walking shoes are essential for steep campus paths and hill trails.
Berkeley's hotel and short-term rental prices fluctuate with the academic calendar (UC Berkeley) and local events. Peak demand occurs around Cal commencement (May), move-in and the start of the academic year (late August–early September), popular summer concerts at the Greek Theatre, and festival weekends (e.g., Bay Area Book Festival weekends and large street fairs). Weekends near these events drive rates up; weekdays can be cheaper except during conference weeks. Holiday weekends (especially Memorial Day and Labor Day) and major Bay Area events (in San Francisco or Oakland) can also push prices higher. The value season tends to be late fall through winter (November–February) outside holiday weeks when fewer tourists visit and campus activity slows. Expect a roughly 20–40% range between low-season and peak-season rates in typical hotels; short-term rentals vary more depending on proximity to campus and transit hubs.
Insider-Ratschläge, um das Beste aus Ihrem Besuch herauszuholen
Well-connected by public transit (BART, AC Transit) and bike-friendly, but parking is limited and traffic can be heavy during events.
Base yourself near Downtown Berkeley or the Fourth Street/West Berkeley area for the best combination of transit access, dining, and walkability. Check the UC Berkeley events calendar before booking—major campus events can make lodging scarce and pricier. Bring layered clothing and comfortable shoes to handle microclimates and hilly terrain.
