It is centrally located, everything is easily accessible on foot, metro station nearby. The bed was very comfortable, despite the noisy city, the room was quiet. I would especially highlight the cleanliness. The towels were changed daily, the room was cleaned and the bed was made. What is an extra and thoughtful gesture for guests is that chilled soft drinks, teas and snacks are available in the lobby free of charge. The staff is kind and helpful. The wifi worked well, you only had to wait a few minutes for the elevators. Overall, a very pleasant hotel with a good location, I can only recommend it, with maximum satisfaction.😃

The staff is super friendly, from front desk to cleaning staff to mechanical support staff all are full of smiles and suggestions. The rooms are super small but beds are really comfortable and AC keeps everything comfortable. Many small amenities like water, cookies, coffee and tea make this an inviting environment. Summer (June–August) and Holiday Season (late November–early January)

One of the world’s most famous New Year celebrations with the ball drop and large crowds.
A long-standing holiday parade drawing families and visitors each November.
Major LGBTQ+ celebration in June with parades, parties, and cultural events across the city.
Grand Slam tournament held in late August–early September in Flushing Meadows, Queens.
Twice-yearly fashion industry events in February and September drawing designers, influencers, and international guests.
Major marathon in November attracting runners and spectators from around the world.

Bring layers year-round. Spring and fall: light jacket, waterproof layer for occasional showers. Summer: breathable clothing, sun protection, and a reusable water bottle. Winter: warm coat, hat, gloves, and waterproof boots for snow/ice. Check forecasts before traveling—Nor’easters in winter and heat waves in summer can affect plans.
Hotel prices in New York City fluctuate strongly with seasonality and major events. Peak pricing occurs during summer (June–August), late November–early January (Thanksgiving through New Year’s) and during marquee events like Fashion Week (February & September), the US Open (late August–early September), and the NYC Marathon (November). Expect Midtown Manhattan and Times Square to be the most expensive neighborhoods; Brooklyn (DUMBO, Williamsburg) and Queens (Long Island City) can offer better value while still providing quick commutes. On average, off-peak nightly rates (January–February) are often the lowest and can be 25–50% cheaper than peak-season averages; during peak periods, some hotels can charge two to three times their off-season rates. Booking 60–90 days in advance for peak periods helps; last-minute deals are possible in slow periods but risky around events and holidays.
Insider advice to help you make the most of your visit
New York City has extensive public transit (subway and buses), taxis, rideshares, and walkable neighborhoods. Plan to rely on the subway for fast cross-city travel.
Buy timed-entry tickets for popular attractions (Statue of Liberty, Top of the Rock, One World Observatory) and consider a CityPASS if you plan to visit multiple paid attractions. Book hotels and Broadway tickets well in advance for peak times; use neighborhood bases (e.g., Midtown for first-time visitors, Brooklyn for a more local vibe) to save on costs while staying convenient.
