Excellent location and our suite was plush. Having 2 bathrooms was quite a bonus.
The staff, all the way. Everyone went out of their way to make you feel special. I'd come in with a group for my daughter's graduation...I'd written before the event about it, and they had made up a card in the room congratulating her with graphics about dance (she's a dance major)--such a sweet, special touch. The breakfast was great--you should definitely book to have it included with the room. The staff there was super helpful! The suites were large and comfortable. We had a balcony, which was excellent.

Hotel rates in New York City fluctuate strongly with seasonality and major events. Peak tourist periods (Summer and Fall early autumn) and holiday weeks (mid-December through New Year’s Eve) drive room rates up. Large conferences, Fashion Week, the UN General Assembly, the NYC Marathon, and major sports events (e.g., US Open) cause short-term spikes in nearby hotel prices. Winter (January–February) outside holiday weeks typically offers the best hotel deals, while late spring (May–June) and early fall (September–October) offer a balance of good weather and moderate prices. Weekend rates are consistently higher than weekday rates in Midtown and downtown, while business-focused hotels near Midtown and Financial District often have lower weekend rates. Booking 30–90 days in advance helps for popular travel windows and events; last-minute deals can appear in slow periods but are risky during high-demand dates.
Insider advice to help you make the most of your visit
Use the subway and buses for fastest, most cost-effective travel; rely on taxis/rideshares for late nights or direct airport transfers.
Book timed-entry attractions in advance (Statue of Liberty reserves, Top of the Rock, One World Observatory). Score discounted Broadway tickets at TKTS booths for same-day shows, but reserve popular shows in advance. Explore beyond Manhattan—Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island each offer distinct neighborhoods and food scenes. Walk as much as possible to discover hidden gems; bring comfortable shoes.
