Style cleaniesss. When I first walked in I wasn’t greeted right away the clerk was doing some on the company and did not look up to acknowledge me , he could have said I’ll be right with you.
The guest service man named José checked us into the hotel and was very warm and welcoming as well as all other staff we interacted with. Our room was absolutely beautiful and modern finishes, and had the best views of the city! It was our anniversary and our experience has us planning future visits. We were pleasantly surprised when we were told we got an upgrade to our room. We ordered room service and got spaghetti and meatballs that tasted fresh and was served nice and hot. The outdoor heated pool was also a fun addition to our visit. Overall excellent experience for our special celebration.

Dress in layers year-round. Summer: light, breathable fabrics, sun protection, and a portable umbrella for sudden storms. Winter: insulated coat, hat, gloves, waterproof boots for snow or slush. Spring/Fall: a medium-weight jacket and waterproof layer; mornings and evenings can be noticeably cooler. Check forecasts before walking or biking along the river or during outdoor festivals.
Philadelphia’s hotel and travel prices fluctuate with tourism seasons, major events, sports schedules (Eagles home games, Phillies playoffs), and conventions at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Summer (June–August) and major event weekends (Made in America, Penn Relays, Flower Show, marathon weekends) push rates up; hotel prices and short-term rental rates commonly rise 20–60% versus off-peak. Spring (March–May) and Fall (September–November) see steady demand but often better deals midweek; campus graduation weekends and spring break can increase rates in May. Winter (December–February) is the most budget-friendly overall outside of holiday weeks (late December) and long weekends. Midweek stays are generally cheaper than weekends; booking 30–60 days in advance helps for events, while last-minute deals appear in slow winter months.
Insider advice to help you make the most of your visit
SEPTA covers city transit (buses, trolleys, Market-Frankford line and Broad Street line) plus Regional Rail; PATCO connects to South Jersey. Walking and biking are practical in central neighborhoods; rideshares and taxis are widely available.
Buy a Philly attraction pass (CityPASS or Go City) if you plan to visit several paid attractions—the savings can be substantial. Visit the Museum of the American Revolution or Eastern State Penitentiary during off-peak midday hours to avoid lines, and time your Independence National Historical Park visits early morning to beat crowds. If attending sports or festival events, reserve accommodations and transit early and plan alternate routes for departures.
