Summer months
Off-peak months
Check weather conditions before traveling to الجيزة.
Giza's hotel and tour prices fluctuate with tourism seasons and major holidays. Prices peak during the cooler months (October–April), especially December–February around international holidays and school breaks. High-demand rooms with pyramid views command substantial premiums year-round. Summer (June–August) generally offers the best value with lower room rates but comes with extreme heat that reduces daytime sightseeing. Prices also spike around religious holidays (Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha) and large cultural events in nearby Cairo. Weekends and major local events can push up day-trip and guide fees; booking in advance secures better rates.
Insider advice to help you make the most of your visit
Giza is served by Cairo’s transport network: metro lines, buses, taxis, and ride-hailing apps. Airport access is by car/taxi or prebooked transfer.
Book an early-morning private guided visit to the Giza Plateau to avoid crowds and heat; combine that with a late-afternoon museum visit in central Cairo. Prebook pyramid tickets (and any special-entry tickets like the Great Pyramid interior) when possible and carry small local currency for tips, parking attendants, and quick purchases.
