The location was perfect as it was close to shops, had an Emart24 next door and was walking distance from 2 train stations. I also liked that there was a Wowpass machine in the lobby

Seasonal guide to help you plan the perfect trip to in Seoul
Fall
Spring (April) and Fall (October) — peak tourist months with higher prices and busier attractions.
Winter (January–February, excluding Lunar New Year) and late Summer (late July–August, excluding holiday weeks) — lower hotel rates but prepare for cold or hot/humid weather.
March–May. Temperatures moderate, cherry blossoms bloom (peak in April depending on year). Ideal for strolling parks, palaces, and riverbanks.
Spring (April, dates vary). Massive cherry blossoms along Yeouiseo-ro and Yeouido Park attract locals and tourists.
Spring (May, date follows lunar calendar). Colorful lantern parade and temple events across Seoul to celebrate Buddha's Birthday.
Late Spring (May). Multi-day music festival featuring international and Korean jazz/indie acts held at Olympic Park.
Twice yearly (March and October). Industry events around Dongdaemun and other fashion districts showcasing Korean designers.
Autumn/Early Winter (November). Lantern displays along the Cheonggyecheon stream; themes change yearly.
Winter (December 31–January 1). Traditional bell-ringing ceremony at Bosingak Pavilion marks New Year’s arrival with crowds and performances.
Autumn (often October; subject to scheduling). Large fireworks displays over the Han River drawing big crowds to riverside parks.
Autumn (Chuseok, dates vary by lunar calendar) and Winter (Seollal, usually January–February). Major national holidays where many locals travel home, and some businesses close.
Seoul has four distinct seasons: spring and fall are mild and ideal for walking; summer is hot, humid, and rainy (monsoon season in late June–July); winter is cold and dry with possible snow. Check the fine-dust (yellow dust/PM2.5) forecasts in spring and winter. Always carry a light waterproof layer in summer and a warm coat with boots in winter. Sunglasses and sunscreen are useful in sunny months; a compact umbrella is handy year-round.
Seoul hotel and accommodation prices fluctuate with seasonal tourism (cherry blossom and autumn foliage seasons), major events (Seoul Fashion Week, festivals, concerts), and Korean public holidays (Lunar New Year/Seollal and Chuseok). Weekends are consistently pricier than weekdays. Budget options and guesthouses fill early in peak months, while business hotels can be more expensive during conferences. Booking 6–8 weeks in advance for spring/fall, and 2–4 weeks for off-peak stays (winter, late summer) usually secures better rates. Short-term rental prices can spike during major events and on holiday weekends; consider alternate neighborhoods to save money.
Insider advice to help you make the most of your visit
Seoul's public transport is extensive, punctual, and affordable (subway, buses, taxis).
Download and set up KakaoMap or Naver Map, install KakaoTalk (widely used messaging app), and either buy a local SIM/eSIM or pocket Wi‑Fi at the airport. Stay near a convenient subway line (Line 1,2,3,4, or the circular Line 2) depending on interests: Myeongdong/Jongno for classic sights, Hongdae/Hapjeong for nightlife and youth culture, Gangnam for shopping and modern flair. Book accommodations early for spring and fall; consider weekday stays to save on hotel costs.
