Love the location!!
The staff was lovely, the Marriott app is a great addition to the experience as it gave us easy communication with the reception and housekeeping team. Matteo on the bar had the most delicious cocktails made for us whenever we came down to the bar. The Le Labo body lotion was lovely as well.

Fall
Summer and Fall
Winter
March–May: Temperatures move from cool to comfortably warm. Parks and waterfronts come alive (cherry blossoms and early blooms in late March–April). Shoulder-season crowds — busier around Easter and spring break but generally fewer tourists than summer.
One of the world’s most famous New Year celebrations; massive in-person crowds and televised coverage.
Large, iconic parade with giant balloons, floats, marching bands and celebrity performers; draws local and visiting families.
Major international marathon each November that brings road closures across the five boroughs and a festive atmosphere.
One of the largest Pride celebrations in the world, with a parade, parties and cultural programming throughout Pride Month.
Biannual fashion industry event (February and September) that attracts designers, buyers, celebrities and media — influences hotel and restaurant demand in Manhattan.
Pack for variable weather: layering is essential year-round. In summer bring light clothing, sun protection and a reusable water bottle. In winter bring insulated outerwear, waterproof boots and gloves; expect wind tunnels in Midtown. Always carry a compact umbrella for sudden rain. Check forecasts before travel and plan indoor backup activities for rainy or extreme-weather days.
New York City hotel and service prices fluctuate strongly with major events and seasonal demand. Peak pricing occurs during Summer (tourist season), Fall (especially around Fashion Week and UN General Assembly), and major holidays (late November–early January). Neighborhoods near Midtown, Times Square, and popular tourist hubs command the highest rates; Brooklyn and outer boroughs can be more affordable. Booking 60–120 days ahead is recommended for peak periods; January–early March often offers the best value and last-minute deals except around New Year’s. Weekday business travel (Mon–Thu) can raise prices in Midtown; weekends are often better value for leisure travelers. Special events (Marathon, Pride, major conventions) trigger short-term spikes — check event calendars before booking.
Insider advice to help you make the most of your visit
Public transit (subway and buses) is the fastest and most cost-effective way to get around; walking and bike-share are great for short distances. Taxis and rideshares fill gaps and late-night trips.
Buy an OMNY-enabled card or link a contactless bank card for easy subway/bus access, book Broadway and major attraction tickets in advance (use official sellers), and plan weekday mornings for popular attractions to avoid peak crowds. Consider staying in a well-located borough (Manhattan or near an express subway in Brooklyn/Queens) to save transit time.
