Location, room was very clean.
Property was lovely, right off canal street and close to multiple metro stations. Short walk to all the delicious eating spots in China town!! Was a lovely surprise to have free ice coffee bar every morning at the front desk!! Also while we were there, there was a massive storm that came through and we hadn’t brought rain jackets or umbrellas and hotel was kind enough to loan one out to us which helped us avoid a very wet walk to the metro station.

Fall
Spring and Fall (especially April–June and September–November).
Winter (January–March, excluding holiday weeks) is generally the most budget-friendly for accommodations and attractions.
March–May: temperatures moderate from cool to mild, trees and parks (Central Park, Brooklyn Botanic Garden) bloom, and outdoor dining begins to pick up.
Late December–Early January: The iconic ball drop and massive street celebration draw global crowds. Expect road closures, security checkpoints, and very early arrival times for vantage points.
November: Famous parade with floats, balloons, marching bands, and celebrity appearances. Routes and viewing spots fill early.
April: High-profile film festival with premieres, panels, and neighborhood events around lower Manhattan.
June: NYC Pride events (parade and related festivals) centered in Manhattan. Huge, celebratory crowds with many related cultural events across the city.
Late August–September: Major international tennis tournament in Flushing Meadows, Queens. Hotels near Queens and Manhattan can fill up and prices rise.
November: The NYC Marathon runs through all five boroughs and draws tens of thousands of runners plus spectators. Extensive street closures and transit planning are needed.
February and September: Multiple runway shows and industry events across Manhattan; side events are frequent throughout the city.
Late November–December: Department store holiday window displays, Rockefeller Center tree lighting, and seasonal markets (Bryant Park, Union Square).
Layer clothing year-round. Spring and Fall: bring a light waterproof jacket and comfortable walking shoes. Summer: lightweight breathable clothing, sun protection, and a refillable water bottle for humidity/heat. Winter: insulated coat, hat, gloves, and waterproof boots—be prepared for slush and icy sidewalks. Check the 10-day forecast before heading out, and allow extra time for travel during snow or heavy rain.
New York hotel prices fluctuate strongly with seasonality, weekends vs weekdays, and major events. Peak pricing occurs during the winter holiday weeks (mid-December through New Year’s) and during major conventions, Fashion Week, the UN General Assembly (early September), and big cultural events (Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, NYC Marathon, US Open). Spring (especially late April–June) and Fall (September–November) are high-demand because of pleasant weather and many events. Winter (January–March) excluding holiday weeks is generally the most budget-friendly time for hotels, while summer sees high demand from tourism though you can find midweek deals. Rates also vary by borough: Manhattan is the most expensive; Brooklyn and Queens can offer better value and good transit links. Short-term rentals can fluctuate similarly but sometimes offer better value for longer stays. Advance booking (30–90 days) pays off during high season and for weekend stays.
訪問を最大限に活用するためのインサイダーアドバイス
Efficient public transit (subway and buses) is often the fastest way to get around Manhattan and between boroughs; rideshares and taxis fill gaps.
Book Broadway or popular attraction tickets in advance for best seats, but also check same-day rush, lottery, and discount apps (TodayTix, TKTS) for savings. Use neighborhood-based itineraries to minimize cross-town travel and explore at a relaxed pace—e.g., cluster Lower Manhattan sights one day and a Central Park/Museum day the next.
