10/10!! Amazing hotel, amazing people. The pool was clean and big. At the same time, we had breakfast every day with a view of the pyramids. The restaurant was also very good for lunch or dinner, with an à la carte menu offering many options. Definitely visiting again in the future!

Winter
Hajj season (Dhul‑Hijjah) and Ramadan — these are the busiest and most expensive periods.
Summer (June–August) tends to have lower hotel rates and deals, but its extreme heat makes it less comfortable for outdoor activity.
March–May: Temperatures rise from mild to hot. Early spring is pleasant; by May it becomes noticeably warm.
Annual pilgrimage during the Islamic month of Dhul‑Hijjah; dates shift each year according to the lunar calendar.
Islamic month of fasting observed by Muslims worldwide; one of the busiest times for Umrah, especially the last 10 nights.
Major Islamic holidays that follow Hajj (Eid al‑Adha) and Ramadan (Eid al‑Fitr); cause short-term spikes in local travel and mosque attendance.
While Umrah is permitted year‑round, certain periods (Ramadan, school holidays, international long weekends) produce noticeable surges.
Al Haram (Mecca) sits in a hot desert climate—expect very hot, dry summers and mild winters. Always carry sun protection (hat, sunscreen), sunglasses, and a refillable water bottle. Plan strenuous outdoor activities for early morning or evening; take regular breaks in air‑conditioned spaces. Be prepared for sudden crowds and occasional dust/sand gusts.
Hotel and accommodation prices in the Al Haram / Mecca area fluctuate strongly with religious calendars and major events. The single largest price spikes occur during Hajj (Dhul‑Hijjah) and Ramadan (especially the last 10 nights), when demand outstrips supply and rates can increase multiple times over. Weekend demand (Friday) and the months when international flights arrive in large numbers push prices up as well. Outside peak pilgrimage windows — particularly the hottest months of summer — many hotels reduce rates and offer promotions, so travelers looking for lower prices often find better value in late spring/early summer. Booking far in advance for Hajj/Ramadan or securing package deals through reputable agents is essential to avoid extreme surcharges.
Insider advice to help you make the most of your visit
Airport access via Jeddah (King Abdulaziz International Airport) or Medina for combined trips; local shuttles, licensed taxis, and ride‑hailing services connect to the Haram. Expect heavy traffic and pedestrianized zones near the mosque.
Download local apps for prayer times, mosque maps, and transport (ride‑hail and Haramain rail timetables). Pre‑book accommodation as early as possible for Ramadan/Hajj, travel with a trusted group or guide during peak events, and schedule tawaf or major rituals early morning to avoid midday heat and denser crowds.
