Analyze the best time to book LOTTE CITY HOTEL Myeongdong in in Seoul based on 12-month price forecast
The location was excellent, very convenient for shopping, restaurants, and transportation. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and professional during my whole stay. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and everything was very well organized. I had a very good experience staying here.
Great location, metro station around the corner and the airport limousine bus is 2 mins walk away. There is a coffee shop and convenience store on site which was handy in the mornings. It's next to the Cheonggyecheon canal, which is lovely for walking in the evenings and has some great local restaurants and bars if you turn right out of the hotel and cross the canal bridge. (Jonggak Avenue of Youth) It's also 5 mins walk to Myeong-dong's main area with all it's shops and restaurants. So you have tons of options nearby but are far enough away from the hustle and bustle that there is no noise at night when sleeping. The staff were friendly and spoke good english. The rooms were a good size for Seoul and are well equipped and cleaned daily.

Seasonal guide to help you plan the perfect trip to in Seoul
Fall
Spring (Cherry blossom) and Fall (Autumn foliage, festivals)
Winter (December–February) and mid-summer weekdays
March–May: Temperatures typically range from about 5°C (41°F) in early March to 20°C (68°F) in late May. Cherry blossoms peak late March–early April in Seoul and surrounding areas.
Late March–early April: iconic cherry blossom viewing along the Han River and in city parks.
May: Colorful lantern parade and temple events to celebrate Buddha’s Birthday, centered around Jogyesa and Bongeunsa temples.
Late April–May: Large music festivals drawing international and local artists.
April–October (weekends and select nights): Seasonal night markets along the Han River with street food, crafts, and live entertainment.
Varies (usually September or October): One of Korea’s biggest holidays—expect widespread closures and heavy domestic travel.
October–November: Night-time lantern displays and light installations along Cheonggyecheon and other venues.
March–November (various events): Major road races and international sporting events that can affect traffic and hotel availability.
Be ready for quick changes: spring brings pollen, summer brings humidity and heavy rains, fall is the most stable with crisp days and cool nights, and winter is dry and cold—pack adaptable layers, waterproof gear for summer, and thermal/windproof clothing for winter.
Hotel and accommodation prices in Seoul vary markedly by season, major events and holidays. Peak rates occur during cherry blossom season (late March–April) and autumn foliage (October–November), as well as around major Korean holidays (Lunar New Year/Seollal and Chuseok) when domestic travel spikes. Large international conferences, K-pop concerts, sporting events and city festivals can push rates up in otherwise shoulder months. Summer (June–August) sees mixed pricing: inbound international tourism increases, but heavy monsoon rains (Jangma) and hot, humid weather can suppress some demand and can lead to midweek discounts; weekend leisure travel remains strong. Winter (December–February) is generally the most economical time for hotels (excluding New Year’s and holiday weeks), though ski resorts outside the city draw visitors. Booking 2–3 months ahead for spring/fall and 2–4 weeks ahead for winter/summer (or earlier for large concerts and holidays) is a good rule of thumb.
Insider advice to help you make the most of your visit
Seoul has an extensive, efficient public transport network: subway, buses, taxis and bike rentals. T-money card is recommended for convenience.
Purchase a local SIM or pocket Wi-Fi at the airport and load a T-money card on arrival; book accommodations well ahead for cherry blossom and autumn foliage windows, and check local festival dates (Cherry Blossom, Chuseok, Buddha’s Birthday) to avoid closures or to time your trip for cultural experiences.
