Analyze the best time to book Hotel Giraffe by Library Hotel Collection in in New York based on 12-month price forecast
The rooms were modern and very clean. Being able to open the window was key - I want to breathe fresh air and hear the sounds of the city. You don’t feel like you are confined in a closed box. But the window was double paned so it was quiet when closed. The staff was always welcoming and friendly. The breakfast is light but has options so you can begin your day. The location is great, in walking distance of restaurants and a pretty park.
We had a 1 bedroom suite which was great as there was a bed in sitting area separate from bedroom- unique in New York and perfect traveling with a teenager

Seasonal guide to help you plan the perfect trip to in New York
Fall
Summer and the December holiday stretch (mid-December through New Year's).
Late Winter (January–February, excluding holiday weeks) and early Spring can offer lower prices and fewer tourists.
March–May: Temperatures climb from chilly to mild. Trees and parks bloom; outdoor dining and rooftop season starts in late April and May.
World-famous ball drop attracts massive crowds to Midtown Manhattan on Dec 31.
Annual Thanksgiving morning parade with floats, balloons and performances down Central Park West to Macy's Herald Square.
Major international marathon each November that runs through all five boroughs.
High-profile runway shows and industry events draw international visitors in early February and late September.
June celebrations around Pride Week with the big parade along Manhattan streets and many related events across the city.
Spring film festival held in Lower Manhattan with screenings, panels, and celebrity appearances (typically April).
Annual, large-scale costume parade in Greenwich Village on October 31.
November–December festive markets (Bryant Park, Union Square, Columbus Circle) and the famous Rockefeller Center tree lighting.
Pack layers year-round, comfortable walking shoes, and an umbrella. Spring and fall need light jackets; summer requires heat-care (sunscreen, refillable water bottle); winter needs a warm coat, hat, gloves, and footwear with grip for snow/ice.
New York City prices vary widely by season, neighborhood, and events. Hotels and flights peak during late spring, summer and the December holiday period, and during major events (Marathon, Fashion Week, Pride, Thanksgiving/New Year). Manhattan (especially Midtown, SOHO, Upper East/West) is the most expensive; Brooklyn (Williamsburg, DUMBO) and Queens offer better value. Weekends and special-event weekends raise rates; midweek can be cheaper. Booking 6–12 weeks ahead for summer and holidays (longer for major events) helps. Consider flexible dates, alternative airports (EWR or LGA vs. JFK), and off-peak neighborhoods to save. Use price alerts and check cancellation policies; last-minute deals can appear in winter (Jan–Feb) but are risky around big events.
Insider advice to help you make the most of your visit
New York City is best navigated by public transit, walking, and selective rideshares/taxis. Airports are busy and spread out.
Base yourself in a neighborhood that matches your interests (Midtown for first-time sightseeing; Lower Manhattan for nightlife and museums; Brooklyn for food and local vibe). Buy attraction passes (e.g., CityPASS) if you plan to see multiple paid attractions, and use the TKTS booths or apps for discounted same-day Broadway tickets. Always check event dates and transit changes before you go.
