Breakfast was excellent and a very good value
The breakfast was amazing for the price. We left a necklace in the room and the staff is going to mail it back to us! The mattress was very comfortable and the extra treats like candy and popcorn hit the spot. The van that drove us to and from town was very convenient.

Seasonal guide to help you plan the perfect trip to in Jackson
Summer
Winter (ski season, mid-December to March) and Summer (June–August).
Spring (April–May) and Fall (September–November), with the biggest savings in mid-April–May and mid-November.
March–May: snowmelt begins, roads and trails open unevenly, ski areas may still be operating into April, and lower-elevation hiking becomes accessible by late April/May. Variable weather with rapid warm-up and late-season snowstorms possible.
A long-running weekly rodeo hosted in Jackson during the summer months, offering a classic Western experience.
A prestigious classical music festival held in and around Jackson and Grand Teton National Park, running through the summer season.
An autumn arts festival showcasing visual and performing arts, often accompanied by gallery openings and special events in town.
Natural event rather than a single festival: elk rut peaks in September–October. Nearby National Elk Refuge hosts sleigh rides in winter but is a wildlife hotspot in fall.
Winter holiday weeks (Christmas–New Year) and ski-area events create a festive atmosphere with special programming, fireworks in some years, and mountain competitions.
Jackson sits in a mountain valley—expect rapid weather changes and strong sun exposure at elevation. Always layer: base layer, insulating mid-layer, and weatherproof shell. Carry sunglasses, sunscreen, and a brimmed hat in summer; bring warm hat, gloves, and insulated jacket in winter. In summer afternoons, lightning storms can develop quickly—plan hikes early. Be aware of altitude (Jackson is ~6,200 ft/1,900 m): stay hydrated, take it easy on strenuous activity on day one, and watch for mild altitude symptoms.
Jackson's prices swing strongly with two peak drivers: ski season (mid-December through March) and summer park season (June through August). Hotels, vacation rentals, and airfares typically spike for the December–March ski window and for summer weeks around July 4 and late June–August when visitors go to Grand Teton and Yellowstone. Shoulder periods (late spring—April–May—and fall—September–November) offer better value, with especially good deals in mid-November (between the seasons) and in late April/May. Special events (e.g., arts festivals, major rodeo weekends, holiday weeks) and limited local lodging inventory in the town center can push prices up; booking 3–6 months ahead for summer and 6–12 months for the high winter holidays is common to secure best rates.
Insider advice to help you make the most of your visit
Fly into Jackson Hole Airport (JAC) for speed and convenience; rent a car for maximum flexibility but be prepared for winter driving. Use local shuttles and park shuttles during summer to avoid parking hassles.
Book lodging and key activities 3–6 months ahead for summer and 6–12 months for major winter holidays. For wildlife viewing, plan early-morning or late-afternoon field time; for hikes, start before midday in summer to avoid thunderstorms. Consider staying in Teton Village for immediate ski-mountain access or in Wilson/Heeney for quieter, often more affordable options while still being close to Jackson and the parks.
