The location was perfect. Close by a subway station which took us up and down town when needed to the likes of Brooklyn Bridge or up to Central Park. A 10-15 mins walk from a lot of landmarks like Times Square and Empire State Building etc. Round the corner from 5th Avenue for shops and Broadway.
The location of the hotel was amazing for what we had planned. The hotel itself was amazing. The self check in and check out service is very streamlined. Everything was so clean. Definitely recommend!

Pack for layers year-round. Spring and fall require a light jacket, sweaters and an umbrella. Summers need breathable clothing, sunscreen, sunglasses and a refillable water bottle (hydration is important). Winters demand a warm coat, hat, gloves and sturdy footwear for slush or snow. Comfortable, broken-in walking shoes are essential—New Yorkers walk a lot, and many sights are best explored on foot.
New York hotel and lodging prices fluctuate strongly with seasons and major events. Peak demand occurs during late spring and fall (pleasant weather and cultural season), the summer tourist surge, and the winter holiday period (mid-November through early January). Major events — UN General Assembly (early September), New Year’s Eve, Fashion Weeks (February and September), the US Open (late August–early September), Thanksgiving weekend, and large conventions — can spike rates across Manhattan and nearby boroughs. Budget travelers find the best hotel deals in January–early March (after New Year’s) and some weekdays in summer, while booking windows of 30–90 days ahead are typical for securing fair rates. Neighborhood choice also matters: Midtown and Times Square command the highest nightly rates, while upper Manhattan, Brooklyn (Williamsburg, Bushwick, Downtown Brooklyn) and Queens (Long Island City, Astoria, Flushing) often offer better value with easy transit access.
Insider advice to help you make the most of your visit
Subway and walking are the fastest ways to get around Manhattan and the boroughs; taxis and rideshares fill gaps. Biking and scooters are common for shorter trips.
Buy timed-entry or advance tickets for popular attractions (Statue of Liberty, One World Observatory, MoMA, Top of the Rock) to skip lines, and consider a CityPASS or Explorer Pass if you plan to visit multiple paid attractions. Combine walking neighborhoods (Greenwich Village, SoHo, West Village, Lower East Side) with targeted subway hops to maximize sightseeing and minimize transit time.
